Mille Lacs Lake Area's Premier Family RV Park  

We're the Petersen family - Dennis, Joan and four kids ages 6 to 21.  You can call us all "Pete".  In 2005 we converted our 40 beautiful acres in Malmo, Minnesota into a family oriented, full service RV park, complete with 20/30/50 amp electrical service, internet, and cable TV.  Every one of the sites has "full hookups", which for you less experienced campers, means water, sewer, and electricity. 

We work hard to make sure there's plenty for the kids and families to do! We hope you'll come and stay with us so you can see just how much fun "up north" can be!  We're taking reservations for daily and seasonal sites at 1-866-5 RV PARK.

Would you like a tour?  

When you arrive at Pete's Retreat, the lodge and swimming pool will be the first things that you see.  As you walk into the lodge, you will be greeted by one of our staff/family members.  The check in area and snack bar are on your left, as well as a general store with souvenirs and camping essentials.  To the right is our TV area, complete with games and books - an excellent activity for those rainy days.  Straight ahead you'll see the large arcade with many awesome games and a pool table.  (Our research team in this area is second to none!)  Head out the east door and you'll pass our super clean bathrooms and showers on your way to the pool.  Ahhh, you're now facing the pool and hot tub which overlook beautiful Deer Lake.  Our pool is uniquely designed with the younger generation in mind.  It's three feet deep at both ends and five feet deep in the middle - perfect for the occasional game of volleyball.  There are large stairs at both ends for the less experienced swimmers, which makes more room for the other swimmers to come and go from the water.  The hot tub is conveniently positioned so that the adults can relax while keeping an eye on the little ones either in the pool or in the fenced-in playground area just a few yards away.
 Let's take a walk through the park.  The first thing you'll probably notice is the size of the sites.  "Is that all one site?" is a question we've been asked many times.  Yes, the sites are really big, and we planned it that way.  When you're here, you should feel like you're on vacation (well you are, aren't you?)  You shouldn't have to feel like your neighbor is right next to you.  After all, you're up north!  Some of our sites are 140 feet long!  Three sides of the park are bordered with mature trees and most of the sites are shaded by a variety of trees including birch, pine, basswood, and oak.  A second shower house is located near the back of the property so nobody ever needs to walk very far for restrooms or showers.  To the north there's a large, grassy area with a pond for all to enjoy.  There are so many wonderful memories just waiting to be made at Pete's Retreat.  We hope you've enjoyed your tour and hope you'll come visit us soon!
